Summary
Rules & Regulations
1.Participants are required to arrive at school 30 minutes before the competition begins.
2.All words will be based on the participants' previous or present curriculum.
3.The scores will be maintained by the volunteers and judges.
4.The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
Round 1: Elimination round
5.Each participant will receive a set of letters and must create a word using the maximum number of letters from the set.
For example, if the set of letters is "olhcos," the participant could form the word "school." Each participant must provide at least 5 words, including one or more words that use the maximum number of letters.
6.The participant will be given 60 seconds to find the solution.
7.This round is based on a 'first come, first served' basis.
8.Participants who qualify from the first round will proceed to the second round of the competition.
Round 2: Scribble Me Down
1.The 'pronouncer' will announce 10 words, and participants will write them down.
2.Each word will be given 20 seconds, after which the pronouncer will proceed to the next word.
3.The evaluation will be done immediately and the qualifiers will move to the final round.
The Final Round – Think it, Fill it, Spell it
1.In this round, participants will receive a clue to a word, which may be a picture, definition, or other type of hint.
2.Participants must then guess the missing letters to complete the word based on the given clue.
3.The participant who correctly guesses the maximum number of words in the least possible time will be crowned the "Spellibrity."
